Switzerland's third vineyard, pioneering and bold

On Helvitic you buy Geneva wines directly from the cellars that make them: every bottle is sold by the winemaker, delivered to your door (free shipping from CHF 150 per cellar) or picked up at the cellar, with no reseller.

The country's third-largest wine region, Geneva grows vines at the city's doorstep, from the Mandement — where Satigny is Switzerland's largest wine-growing municipality — to the slopes between the Arve and the Rhône. A pioneering, open-minded region, it pairs the classic Gamay and Chasselas with a fine diversity of grapes: Gamaret, Sauvignon Blanc, Aligoté or Merlot, under the AOC Genève appellation.

Frequently asked questions — Geneva wines

Which grapes are typical of Geneva?

Gamay and Chasselas remain the historic pillars, but Geneva is known for its diversity: Gamaret and Garanoir for reds, Sauvignon Blanc, Aligoté or Viognier for whites, plus Merlot. This openness to grape varieties makes the canton a recognised testing ground.

Where is the Geneva vineyard located?

Mainly in the Mandement (Satigny, Peissy, Russin), the canton's largest wine-growing area, complemented by the slopes between the Arve and the Rhône and between the Arve and the lake. Satigny is Switzerland's largest wine-growing municipality.

Can I pick up my order directly at the cellar?

Yes, if the cellar offers it: pickup is free, with no transport-related bottle minimum. You receive a pickup link and a 6-digit code, and collect your wines directly from the winemaker.
